Release Date?
[edit]Amazon.com lists the (presumably US) release date as 31 DEC 2015. ( http://smile.amazon.com/Legend-Zelda-Majoras-Mask-3D-3DS/dp/B00PB9LZQI/ ) Is that worth mentioning? (I wish I'd read more carefully when preordering... I thought it was 31 DEC 2014. That's probably not worth mentioning.)
- Nah, it's not worth mentioning. Retailers usually put in placeholder dates like that when they haven't gotten a date from the publisher yet. According to Nintendo it's coming out in the spring of 2015 (or autumn if you live in the southern hemisphere - either way, Q1/Q2 2014). IDVtalk 13:00, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, retailers commonly put up placeholder dates for games without a concrete date. Whenever its an unlikely date, like the last day of the year, its going to be a placeholder/fake date. Definitely don't mention it. Sergecross73 msg me 13:39, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
Merge into main MM article

The result of the discussion was: Not merged. TheMeaningOfBlah (talk) 14:49, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
IMHO, there is barely any new content in this game to warrant a separate article. Gameplay footage from the final build has confirmed that there are 24 masks, 10 songs, and 4 dungeons/bosses -- the same number of inventory items as the original. There is indeed a fishing hole with mechanics largely ported from Ocarina of Time. Also, the save system has been altered to allow greater flexibility. I think these two changes can easily fit within the main MM article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.248.181.22 (talk) 07:06, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
- I think it'd be best not to do that. 159.118.64.19 (talk) 00:26, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
- Ocarina of Time 3D has its own article, and this article will almost certainly expand with, at the very least, release and reception information. Maybe if the article stays as small as it is now in month or two merging would be justified, but given how large the OoT 3D article is, that seems unlikely. Fench (talk) 20:16, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- Disagree. While it is a remaster, there are some major changes made to make the game work with the 3DS 3D hardware. Also, 15 years later there will be a different reception. Frmorrison (talk) 21:42, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose. Basically agreeing with Fench and Frmorrison. TheMeaningOfBlah (talk) 00:31, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Original directors/producer
[edit]What's the Wiki standard for including the original directors and producers on a remake where they did not have any direct involvement in? Mikiharu Ooiwa from Grezzo is the one who directed this specific version, but Eiji Aonuma and Yoshiaki Koizumi are the Nintendo 64's directors (and are still credited under their original roles here, even though both did not directly work on the game). ~ Dissident93 (talk) 00:21, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

The first sentence says "an 2015" instead of the correct "a 2015." Buzzhardin (talk) 18:30, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

In this request, i would like to say that the game's reception is more critical acclaim then just normal positive. Since Game Rankings and Meteoritic surveyed the scores for the game arranging at 90%. And so all the reviewers are giving very high score review above 8.5/10. Sure IGN has an unexpected lower score of 8.7, but still its more critical acclaim. 8bitvuk (talk) 01:50, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- Not done: Unless you can provide a reliable sources to support your requested change, it would just be considered original research, which is not acceptable. Mlpearc (open channel) 04:01, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Removal of composers request.
[edit]It has come to my attention that these composers are credited despite the fact that they did NOT compose for this particular remake. Koji Kondo & Toru Minegishi composed music for Majora's Mask... NOT Majora's Mask 3D. Their compositions are simply reused/remastered and unless more than one compositions are new then no-one should be credited in accordance to wikipedia standards. Thank you. 27.96.204.95 (talk) 02:01, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
- This is not the correct way to handle this. See the consensus about it here. Unless a new consensus is found, your approach is against consensus, and editing against consensus will get you blocked from editing. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 03:25, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
- Firstly, how would I know about that? Secondly, I assure you it will be fixed. Thirdly, I can't edit archived discussions for obvious reasons. I'm allowed to voice my opinions/concerns on the discussion page. Tell me how I can bring up the topic so we can put an end to this nonsense. Finally, with these remasters the music are ALL RECREATED OR ALTERED, NOT REUSED. 27.96.204.95 (talk) 02:32, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- How would you know about that? I personally invited you to the discussion. I also made it pretty clear that your stance was not the consensus, which you made clear you saw. And yes, you may not edit archived discussions, but you're free to start up a new discussion at WP:VG's talk page. Sergecross73 msg me 21:00, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
